Catalogue for the new exhibition space at the Centro Botín, inaugurated on 23 June 2018.

This publication accompanies the launch of a new exhibition space, dedicated to the permanent exhibition of eight portraits painted by important artistic figures from the 20th Century, from the collection of Jaime Botín.

This is not a typical collection, created around certain names or tendencies, but rather it is based on the personal tastes of the owner, who has brought together a select group of portraits with clear connections and links that allow us to enter his particular microcosmos.

These are renowned artists whose work is of tremendous artistic value: Francis Bacon, Francisco Cossío, Juan Gris, José Gutiérrez Solana, Henri Matisse, Isidre Nonell, Daniel Vázquez Díaz and Joaquín Sorolla.
