Susanne Müller-Using
Dr. Susanne Müller-Using was born in 1977 in Göttingen / Germany, she was raised in México and in Germany. She is scientific director of the research center Costa Rica Center and speaker for the team “Values Education”. She studied philosophy, comparative religion, as well as psychology at “Philipps Universität” in Marburg and educational sciences at Bielefeld University. From 2004 on she works as scientific collaborator at the Educational Institute at the Osnabrück University, taking part in several intercultural and comparative research projects. Until 2013 she also worked at the Institute of Early Childhood Education and Development of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsischen Institut für frühkindliche Bildung und Entwicklung). In 2009 she finished her PhD at Bielefeld University with the topic: “Pedagogic-ethical aspects in the interaction with pupils. Ethnographical comparison of school quality in the workday life of class teachers in Germany, Denmark and Finland.” Furthermore she gives classes at Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) and at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica (UNA).
