Guided tour with a facilitator

Take a unique tour of the architecture and magnificent exhibitions housed at Centro Botín with one of our facilitators, who will help you to make the most of your visit to the Centre, revealing in a very special way the building designed by Renzo Piano and the programme it runs. To ensure availability on the date requested, you must book on line at least 48 hours in advance.

Guided tours with a private guide

Discover the architecture of the Botín Centre and its exhibitions in the company of volunteers or trainees every day at 12:00 and at 18:00. These visits are free of charge and require no prior booking. You can also enjoy the exhibitions in greater detail and depth with our accredited Botín Centre guides or with your official guide upon prior booking and payment.

Experience-tours

The Botín Centre offers you the possibility of unique visits to the building and the exhibitions by means of an experience in which you take centre stage. BY BIKE

Santander’s 18 km bike lane makes cycling one of the best ways of getting around the city, to discover different locations, monuments, and cultural spaces, including, of course, the Centro Botín.

If you would like to explore Santander by bike, you will find bike racks on Paseo de Pereda, beside the Tourist Office, and at the Centro Botín amphitheatre.

BY CAR

If you are visiting the Centro Botín by car, there are several public car parks to choose from: Parking Alfonso XIII (240 metres away), Parking Cachavas (260 metres away), Parking Pombo (400 metres away), and the Town Hall car park (Parking del Ayuntamiento – 600 metres away).

BY TAXI

There are several taxi ranks in the vicinity of the Centro Botín. The closest ranks are at No. 22 on Paseo de Pereda and at No. 16 on Calvo Sotelo, beside the central post office (Correos). To call a taxi: Teletaxi. (Tel: +34 942 369 191) and Radiotaxi Santander (Tel: +34 942 333 333).

BY BUS

The Centro Botín is well connected by bus thanks to its strategic location in the centre of Santander. Several urban bus lines stop at the Pereda Gardens. If you are coming from outside of Santander or Cantabria, the central bus station is just 900 metres away, about a ten minute walk.

BY TRAIN

The Renfe and Feve train stations are just 900 metres away from the Centro Botín, which is about a ten minute walk.

If you present your Renfe train ticket to Santander at the Centro Botín ticket office you will get a 20% discount on the general admission price for our exhibitions (promotion valid for AVE high-speed and long distance trains).

BY PLANE

The Seve Ballesteros airport is five kilometres from Santander, in the town of Maliaño. Aena offers travellers information on air routes.

BY BOAT

The Centro Botín is located beside the Santander Maritime Station, offering ferries from Santander to Portsmouth and Plymouth. For information on these ferries and departure and arrival times, please contact Britanny Ferries (Tel: +34 902 108 147).

Just a short distance from the Botín Centre, we can find the Embarcadero Palace, from where we can see the Los Reginas boats, belonging to the century-old company that offers boat trips and tours around Santander Bay, nature and seabed viewing excursions, trips along the River Cubas, shuttle to El Puntal beach, etc.

Café Centro Botín

Enjoy a wonderful culinary experience in a unique and welcoming space, offering views of the bay and the Pereda Gardens. In the café-restaurant “Café Centro Botín”, the flavours of Cantabria are infused with the characteristic modernity, technique and tradition of Carlos Crespo and Álex Ortiz.

El Muelle

Relax, read, or connect to the free Wi-Fi… This glazed space on the ground floor, which can be accessed from the Pereda Gardens, houses the shop, the Café Centro Botin and the customer service and ticket sales desks.

Ticket Sales and Information

You can ask for information and buy tickets for exhibitions and activities at the customer service desks located in El Muelle on the ground floor of the Centro Botín and on the first floor of the west volume.

The Botín Centre boasts the “TUR4all” accessible tourism insignia, which highlights its commitment to people with accessibility needs.

Cloakroom

The Centro Botín provides a free cloakroom service where you can leave your bags, coats, and other small personal items. There are self-service lockers (26 x 50 x 60 cm) in the halls on the 1st and 2nd floors of the west block.

Friends of the Centro Botín

If you are a Friend of the Centro Botín, you will find a customer service desk exclusively for Friends at El Muelle on the ground floor. There you will be granted access to the centre without having to queue and you can get information, renew your card, book tickets, and lots more. If you are still not a Friend of the Centro Botín, become one now.

Children and Babies

Families visiting us can use the “Baby space”, a calm and welcoming place where you can feed or attend to the little ones during your visit. There are also toilets with baby changing facilities.

Room Attendants

Our qualified Room Attendants are there to answer any questions you may have during your visit to the exhibitions, and can give you information on specific pieces.
